Mark began his financial services career in 1982, and quickly became a widely-recognized advisor for Wells Fargo Advisors and its predecessor firms. Mark focuses on investment planning and consulting, in addition to overseeing the asset management process. He spearheads the Synergy Investment Committee which manages client portfolios on discretion using Synergy Strategy Portfolios. Mark believes continuing education enhances Synergy’s advisory services and investment strategies. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and earned a Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation through the Investment Management Consultants Association. He holds the Series 7, 8, 63, and 65 licenses along with Life, Health and Accident, and Variable Annuities Insurance licenses. 

Mark is honored to have each member of his family as part of the Synergy Capital Solutions team. His wife Sherry serves as Controller, daughter Jordann as Director of Business Solutions, and son Alex as a VP-Client Solutions.  He takes pleasure in nurturing and mentoring the next generation of advisors. Mark divides his time between West Bloomfield, Michigan, and Naples, Florida. He enjoys being on the water with family and throwing the ball for his two dogs, Max and Chloe. He also enjoys seeing the world, reading a good spy novel, and displaying his mean forehand on the tennis court.

Bill has spent his entire career providing financial planning and wealth management to high-net-worth individuals. He specializes in combining complex planning techniques and sophisticated financial modeling into an understandable and individualized format. Bill's client profile has changed little over the years, and he has been guiding many of his clients and their families for decades. Bill’s clients are financially affluent, caring, intelligent and very private individuals.  

Bill's value-add approach includes the delivery of comprehensive, sophisticated financial and estate plans, helping his clients maximize control over their families’ financial destinies by defining their real hopes and dreams, and then helping position them to become tax-efficient realities. His full-service follow-through is structured to help clients’ entire team of trusted advisors and professionals achieve synergy. In addition to financial and estate planning, Bill spends considerable time in the investment management arena. His focus is on delivering investment solutions designed to help meet the individual goals of each client. As a client advocate acting in a catalyst capacity, Bill strives to ensure that his clients’ interests are consistently being served first and foremost. Bill is enthused to be able to deliver custom services and capabilities, as well as to be a part of a team of disciplined professionals with disciplines and specialties that include law, accounting, financial planning and asset management. 

Bill currently holds the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations and is a Certified Funds Specialist (CFS). He is a University of Michigan Business School graduate. 

Bill and his wife, Barbara, have four children, Joshua, Sarah, Rachel and Hannah.  He has a strong interest in Dream Centers of Michigan, which serves the homeless and hungry. He enjoys playing golf and tennis; bicycling; and traveling, particularly when they visit children and grandchildren.  

David A. Vallieres

David has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry having previously worked for Smith Barney, UBS Financial Services, and Merrill Lynch. David focuses his practice on investment planning and consulting for institutional and corporate clients as well as a select group of high net worth families and individuals. As the Director of Advisor Solutions, David consults with internal advisors as well as aligning external like-minded advisors and advisory firms with Synergy. He currently holds the Series 3, 7, 30, and 65 licenses along with Life, Health, and Variable Annuities Insurance licenses. David has a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Business from Hodges University.

David lives in Naples, Florida, with his two children, Allie and Luke. He grew up playing hockey in Alaska which earned him a scholarship to play for the University of Alaska-Anchorage. He leveraged this passion into a professional career, playing in both North America and Europe. Currently, David serves his Florida community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has previously served as the Assistant Coach for the Florida Golf Coast University Eagles Hockey team.

Jordann holds dual roles as a Client Solutions Advisor and the Director of Business Solutions. As Client Solutions Advisor, Jordann works with individuals and families to enhance their client experience through relationship management, investment planning, and asset management strategies.  She is also a part of the Synergy Investment Committee which manages client portfolios on discretion using Synergy Strategy Portfolios. As the Director of Business Solutions, she strives to evolve and grow the practice through marketing, business planning, and process improvement. These dual roles suit Jordann’s love of organizing, implementing change, and communicating with people. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses. Jordann enjoys working alongside her entire family, creating a lasting professional legacy. She has a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Finance from The Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.

Jordann resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with her husband Scott. They have two dogs named Riley and Bugsy who keep them plenty busy. She spends her free time playing tennis, getting in the occasional round of golf, and checking out any Michigan craft brewery. She is passionate about skiing, yoga, and spending time in northern Michigan with her family and friends.

Norton assists our team as a specialist in institutions and charitable foundations. He began his financial services career in 1969 creating a diverse and multi-layered scope of experience. He also works with individuals and families to continually monitor and provide individualized plans. Prior to joining Synergy’s predecessor firm, he was the Registered Principal and President of Franklin Financial Investments, LLC. Norton holds the Series 1, 24, 63 and 65 licenses along with Life, Health and Accident, and Variable Annuities Insurance licenses.  

Norton and his wife Sherrie have two sons, Scott and Ken and five grandchildren.  He splits his time between Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Delray Beach, Florida. He has served as past president of Temple Israel in West Bloomfield and is a contributing columnist to The Jewish News.  Music plays an important role in Norton’s free time; he enjoys playing guitar with a love of ‘50s and ‘60s music and even owned a record company in a previous life.

Jeff entered the financial service industry 15 years ago following his vast experience in the medical industry. Jeff is our team specialist in working with medical practices, closely held corporations, and families to provide wealth management solutions. He focuses on developing a coordinated wealth creation and preservation plan to help with investment planning issues often encountered by medical professionals. As a certified physician, Jeff brings a distinct perspective and experience to these client needs.  During his years in the medical industry, Jeff was the Chairman of an Emergency Medicine department and served on the hospital board. He developed and managed four Vermont urgent care centers as well as serving as CEO for 16 years. Jeff went on to manage retirement plans for fellow physicians. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and holds the Series 6, 7 and 66 licenses along with Life, Health and Accident, and Variable Annuities Insurance licenses. He also has a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Air Force Academy.  

Jeff and his wife Susan have a son, Michael, and two daughters, Kelly and Keri. They split their time between Naples, Florida and Burlington, Vermont. Serving his community is one of Jeff’s passions.  He has served on many committees for the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, Mallets Bay Boat Club, and the Burlington Waterfront Board. One day, Jeff hopes to fly a floatplane to fish in Alaska.

Eric assists with the implementation of personal portfolios with a focus on economic analysis and security selection. As a member of the Synergy Investment Committee, Eric consults on the Synergy Strategy Portfolios. Previously, Eric worked for J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank where he assisted with high net worth families and institutions to monitor investment portfolios, model wealth projections and provide investment solutions for their clients. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses as well as Life, Health, and Variable Annuities Insurance licenses. He is currently working toward his Master of Business Administration at the University of Michigan where he also earned a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Economics.

Eric lives in Royal Oak, Michigan. He enjoys being involved in the community, and spends his free time traveling the world, tasting the newest local cuisine, and playing various sports, most notably hockey and golf.

Gary specializes in understanding clients’ needs, goals and aspirations. He has an interest in portfolio income and retirement planning. Gary brings two decades of experience in bank management to his current role in the financial services industry. He strives to treat everyone like they are the most important person in the world. This attitude helps Gary create open, honest and successful relationships.  

He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses along with his Life Insurance license. He holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University. 

Gary and his wife, Rose, have four sons, Robert, Thomas, Sean and David. He enjoys spending his free time doing charity work for the Oakland County Community through the Clarkston Knights of Columbus, Oakland County Ancient Order of Hibernians, Detroit Metro Area ProLifeYouth.com, and the Independence Township Friends of the Library.

Sherry oversees the accounting, payroll, and benefits functions of Synergy Capital Solutions. She works to help ensure Synergy provides a competitive and comprehensive compensation package to its team members. She has been a part of Synergy and its predecessor firms since 2005. As Mark’s wife, she enjoys working alongside her family and assisting with Synergy’s needs.

Sherry has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Employee Relations from Michigan State University.

Sherry splits her time between West Bloomfield, Michigan, and Naples, Florida. In her spare time, Sherry can be found on the tennis court, boating or at the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. Sherry also throws a mean dinner party full of inventive dishes and featuring a signature cocktail.

Barbara specializes in business, securities, employment, contract and constitutional law, and estate planning. At Synergy Capital Solutions, she leverages her education and experience to serve clients by maintaining compliance standards for the team.

Barbara earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University Law School) and has a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. Barbara completed the State of Michigan ICLE (Institute of Continuing Legal Education) Probate and Estate Planning Certificate program.

Her deep background in a variety of legal disciplines positions her to help ensure that the teams’ ethics, practices and business operations are aligned with industry compliance standards, as well as Synergy Capital Solutions’ philosophy and vision. In her role, she will also help design governance solutions for family office solutions.

Barbara and her husband, Bill, have four children, Joshua, Sarah, Rachel and Hannah. She enjoys playing tennis and golf, as well as competing in half marathons.

Alex joined Synergy’s predecessor firm in September of 2016 and has brought fresh energy to our team. He began his business career as a Sales Account Manager for Symantec Corporation and its subsidiary Veritas. He brings deep database knowledge to the team and enjoys working alongside his father, mother and sister. He earned a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Communications from Michigan State University. 
Alex lives in Winter Park, Florida where he is honing his handyman skills as a first-time homeowner. He enjoys golf, tennis, kayaking and watching MSU football and basketball. With a keen interest in travelling, Alex plans to see more of Europe, Asia and discover South America before he turns the big 3-0.

Daniel is passionate about providing clients with a high level of support and is committed to staying up-to-date on new techniques and approaches. He prides himself on being a good friend and trust-worthy individual. Daniel holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in both Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as a minor in Economics from Lake Forest College.

Daniel currently resides in downtown Chicago and loves living the city life. His hobbies include golf, pool, and ultimate Frisbee as well as being an involved member of his community. He was fortunate to continue his lifelong love of hockey at the Kent School, Connecticut, and throughout college. Daniel grew up in Florida but considers himself a solid Midwesterner while living in Chicago.

Sarah specializes in constructing highly-customized financial plans for clients. She brings 10 years of knowledge and experience with the financial planning software to the Synergy Capital Solutions team. She holds the Series 7 and 63 licenses.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University. Sarah is a former NCAA Division I Collegiate Rower, scholar athlete and graduate of the EMU Honor’s College. 
Sarah lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband, Will, and two children, Emmett and Nash.

Anne is responsible for maintaining documents and client information with strict adherence to federal compliance regulations. She provides administrative support to the Synergy team.

Anne earned a Bachelor of the Arts degree in History from the University of Michigan.

Anne and her husband, Gregg, have two children, Elizabeth and Keri, and two cats, Obiwan Kenobi (who is not a Jedi Master) and Vanellope vonSchweetz, affectionately known as “Lil P.” She enjoys travelling, gardening and reading. Anne takes part in the Parent Dance performance at her daughter’s dance studio each year.

Jeffrey joined Synergy’s predecessor firm in August of 2016, bringing 18 years of client support experience. Jeff is a part of the Service team where he assists clients with asset movement, annuity and account administration, and IRA administration. He is excited to contribute to Synergy’s guiding mission by providing an excellent client service experience. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a double minor in Accounting and Information Technology from Walsh College. 

Jeff and his wife Mary reside in Washington Township, Michigan, with their two young daughters, Ashely and Peyton. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his family. Growing up in Michigan, he leads the Royse family in being devoted Detroit Tigers fans.

As part of the Service team, Lisa assists in meeting client needs in a timely manner. Lisa works as a conduit between clients and advisors to handle administrative functions for Synergy’s accounts. Beginning her career in the financial services industry in 1983, she has a background in retirement plan services and insurance administration. She attended Western Michigan University and the University of Michigan.

Lisa and her daughter Ashley live in Berkley, Michigan along with their cat Buddy. She is passionate about the outdoors - from gardening to hiking and biking to taking frequent weekend trips up north with her family and friends. She enjoys yoga, cooking and being an involved member of her small-town community. Lisa hopes to one day travel the world.

Doug began his financial services career two decades ago working with teams at Prudential Insurance and Prudential Securities. He currently helps clients gather information to help create a plan that will serve as a guideline for their future goals. He holds Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses. He graduate from Purdue University with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Management.

Doug resides in Howell, Michigan, with his three children, Christian, Megan and Warren. He serves as a Commissioner and Eagle Scout mentor for the Boy Scouts of America and loves playing trivia. One day, Doug hopes to travel to each continent and also visit every Major-Leave Baseball park.
